Grecian Island Getaway on Rhodes

Relax & unplug at an upscale resort hotel on the idyllic island of Rhodes & explore Symi’s top attractions during a scenic boat cruise.

About Your Trip

Revel in everything Rhodes has to offer with this fun- and sun-filled DreamTrip on one of Greece’s most beautiful islands. This family-friendly adventure includes a boat trip to another of the Dodecanese islands, Symi — but first, you’ll have plenty of leisure time to spend at your beachside resort hotel, where all your buffet meals and drinks are included. Your luxury hotel is the perfect place to hang, offering something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Play under the warm Grecian sun at the beach, only steps away, or lounge by one of the pools — the hotel offers both saltwater and freshwater options! Also available is a range of entertainment options — including daily live music bands and shows — and activities, such as tennis, yoga, art lessons, game tournaments and so much more.

On Day 5, prepare to be wowed as you set off by boat for the island of Symi (also called Simi). From Rhodes, you’ll travel along the Turkish coastline to Symi and disembark at Gialos — marvel at the neoclassical houses built into the hillside of this pretty little harbor town. You can also spend some time looking around the ancient village to get a sense of local life. Then, you’ll indulge in a 3-course lunch at a traditional taverna, before boarding the boat again and sailing off to the island’s southwestern port, Panormitis. Visit the Monastery of Panormitis — dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel —then head along the island’s breathtaking coastline to return to Rhodes.

Back in Rhodes, you can continue to enjoy all the fun activities offered at the hotel — from swimming to bridge and everything in between. Feel like venturing off the property? From your hotel, you’re within walking distance of UNESCO-protected Medieval City of Rhodes (“Old Town”), where you’ll find attractions such as Old Town Aquarium, Acropolis of Rhodes, Suleiman Mosque, Archaeological Museum of Rhodes and Kahal Shalom Synagogue. For something different, you can also check out Modern Greek Art Museum or head to the casino to try your luck. Whatever you choose to do in your ample down time, be sure to take advantage of included buffet meals at the hotel’s main restaurant, Acandia, which also offers fun theme nights!

What we love:
• The 18th-century monastery at Panormitis houses the highest Baroque bell tower in the world.
• Over and above your included buffet meal package, your hotel offers specialty restaurants, a poolside pizza oven, an afternoon tea buffet and other food and snack options.
• To maximize your enjoyment, download the DreamTrips™ app to access DreamTrips Local — then earn points on dining, entertainment, spa experiences & more at select spots recommended by DreamTrippers just like you!

Destination

An abundance of medieval history defines Rhodes, the capital of Greece's Dodecanese islands. Within the city walls lie cobblestone streets winding between ancient churches, mosques and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes. Beyond the artifacts lie rocky mountains, green hills and beaches with crystal-clear water. Bars, clubs and other nightlife attractions thrive within the bustling city center.
